Representing Wolverhampton and Bilston AC my best events were the 100m and 200m and I competed in School, County and Club competitions including the English schools, Inter counties Championships and Club League Meetings. I carried on competing until my late twenties and the birth of my first child.

I got my Coaching Assistant Certificate and starting working at Sandwell Education Development Centre as a Part time Athletics Coach. Responsible for coaching children aged between 8-15yrs in schools around the Sandwell area. Teaching all aspects of basic Track & Field.

This lead into a full time job working for UK Athletics (formally known as British Athletics Federation) as a Development Coordinator within the Development Department I was responsible for the administration of the UK Athletics Development schemes and Co-ordination with all regional development officers to ensure the smooth set up of the development initiatives.

Other duties included Coach Education Training, PR involvement at Exhibitions and Conferences, budget control and liaising with external companies.

After a short break away from work to start a family, I returned to work and was lucky to find a position at Running4Women. I have been here for 10 years and in that time my job has grown in all aspects.

My role is Administration manager looking after the Running4Women website, looking after our Running4women Club Members with help and advice. I also work on both the Boudavida Women’s 10k Windsor and the Meridian Windsor Half Marathon where I liaise with suppliers, franchises, sponsor’s on a regular basis to ensure the smooth running of the two events. I have taken on the role of managing the Charities that we work with and am looking forward to the Challenge.
